Little Free Library Boxes
No so much an event as a new initiative! The Friends are proud to announce the placement of a host of ‘Little Free Library Boxes’ throughout town. The idea is you take a book and you leave a book. Try it! You’ll like it! Locations (as of October 2022) are: outside the West Milford Presbyterian Church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Bald Eagle Community Center, Holy Faith Lutheran Church, and the Utopia Deli. More are coming. Watch this space!
Our “Friends” Piano Concert Series
Bob Magnuson on reeds, along with Joe Vincent Tranchina on piano
and Brian Glassman on bass, launched a new series of indoor concerts for the Library. This inaugural concert featured the Kawai baby grand piano
graciously donated by Carolyn Ott in memory of her late husband,
Doug Ott, who often played the instrument. Performances that followed were all a great success. Concerts will come back in the fall. Watch for the dates!
