The Friends of the West Milford Township Library is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization formed in 2000 to help support the work of the West Milford Township Library. Scroll down …

Friends support the idea that a library is a most valuable community asset that needs nourishment and support. The Friends organization believes in the value of books and reading, regard a library as an impartial, reliable information center, and look upon it as a dynamic agency for the education of both youth and adults.

The Friends thank all of you who helped make our 2024 Book Sale a great success: to all of you who donated books, to all our volunteers who helped cull through all the donations, sorting, organizing and setting up 39 tables full of some 7,000 books, to the folks at Wallisch who hosted us, and to all of you who joined us at the Sale. A 1,001 Thanks! See you again next year!

Little Free Libraries

You may have already seen them, or maybe even used them but the Friends are proud to announce the placement of a host of ‘Little Free Libraries’ throughout our community. Through these Little Libraries, we hope to promote neighborhood book exchanges, with the idea of increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds. Take a free book and, if you have a book to share, you can leave a book. Locations are: outside the West Milford Presbyterian Church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Bald Eagle Community Center, Holy Faith Lutheran Church, Highlands Family Success Center and the Utopia Deli. More will be coming as needed. Give it a try!

TAKE A BOOK:

If you see something you would like to read, take it! After you read it, put it back in the library box or pass it on to a friend.

SHARE A BOOK:

If you have a book you would like to share with other readers, please leave it.
